Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
As a values-based company, we are deeply committed to our corporate responsibilities. Our culture is centered on our Vision, Mission Statement and Guiding Values, and we constantly strive to align our policies, procedures and systems with these high standards. We have implemented a diverse and comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to ensure that Microchip is aligned with its values and compliant with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in the communities in which it operates.
Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics establishes how to act correctly in a broad range of business situations. All Microchip directors, officers, employees and contractors are expected to read and understand the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, uphold these standards in their day-to-day activities and comply with all applicable policies and procedures. We have also adopted the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct standards for Labor, Health and Safety, the Environment and Ethics for all our operations.
We are committed to using these standards throughout our supply chain as well. Our Supplier Code of Conduct applies to suppliers and their directors, officers, employees, contractors and subcontract labor. It requires that all suppliers be dedicated to ensuring that throughout their supply chain working conditions are safe, workers are treated with respect and dignity, and business operations are environmentally responsible, conducted ethically and are in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Consistent with our policy, practice and culture, we do not tolerate the use of forced labor anywhere in our supply chain. We are in alignment with the RBA’s Code of Conduct standards regarding freely chosen employment, young workers, working hours, wages/benefits, humane treatment, non-discrimination, and freedom of association in a manner that is not only transparent but also recognizable across industries and jurisdictional boundaries. We offer the following documents to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to comply with the laws and regulations specific to the use of forced labor:
